D. La Montagna, What sound a rose makes, I ed., 10 documents, Roma, 2025
What Sound a Rose Makes is a bilingual collection that moves through vulnerability, desire, and loss. In Davide La Montagna’s poems, love is not a refuge but a consuming force that questions both body and language. Everyday objects, small gestures, and fragments of intimacy become tools of revelation, where tenderness coexists with cruelty and memory turns into sensual matter. The book forms an emotional, incandescent archive in which every word gives sound back to the fading rose.
Davide La Montagna (Rivoli, 1992) is an artist based in Turin. His research explores love as an ambivalent and transformative force, probing the tensions between opposites that inhabit the space of relation and desire. Using everyday objects and poetic language, his work unfolds as a process of inquiry and evocation. He co-founded in 2023 the Ethereal Society of Poetry (ESP).
